I’m so glad you could join us today! So let’s dive right in, shall we? You know, I bet your fans would love to know a little bit about you…

I’m a mom, a wife, a coffee lover and I love to bake, cook and craft. I also have a terrible sweet tooth.

When did you first start writing ?

I first started writing when I was ten years old, and I actually sent off my manuscript to a well-known publisher. Of course, being a kid, I had no idea that I needed an agent or to turn in a typewritten manuscript, rather than written in pencil, illustrated with crayon and on construction paper.

What do you love about writing?

I love to live in other worlds in my imagination and make up new characters and seeing what type of ride that takes me on.

What do you need when writing? Music, candy, silence, etc.

Silence and coffee.

How did you go about building your world and characters?

That’s a great question. The answer is, I have no clue. All I know is that when an idea starts to sizzle in my head, it takes off and suddenly, it’s a new story.

DAVID CHIOS

Eros sighed and closed his eyes. “I cannot help you. I’m sorry.”

“Yes, you can, Eros. You must. You have no idea what it’s like to need someone like you need the flow of your own blood.”

“David, you will never be able to procreate from this relationship. It’s against the law. My answer is firm. I can’t help you.”

Eros pressed his temples as if attempting to release the pressure of my petition.

“Eros… I’ve done something to prove my love for her. But I see that your support is too much to ask, brother. I shouldn’t have come.”

“Wait. Hear my thoughts on the matter. To be in love with a human…that’s impossible. You know the prohibitions of such acts. The law is impenetrable.” He walked to the bar again to serve himself another glass of wine. “You mentioned you had done something to prove your love. What exactly have you done, Romeo?”

“Do you really have to ask?” I sighed.

“I need an answer if you want my help.”

“I gifted her something of mine.”

“O Mon Dieu…”

“The Star Crest¾my life¾it belongs to her now.”

“Merde.” Eros dropped his drink for a second time. “Dahveed, you have done the unthinkable.”

I stared at the shards of glass on the hardwood floor and nodded. “It’s done.”

“You’ve gone insane. It’s suicide!”

Do you play games? If so what kind? If not, why the heck not?

The ones I play, you have probably never heard of; they’re called Nely Napping, Coffee o’clock and Damn-I’m-hungry-I-need-to-eat-before-I-pass-out-palooza. I’ve never been one for video games or board games. They bore me.

Favorite author?

Too many, but off the top of my head: Aimee Carter, Cassandra Clare, Stephenie Meyer, Suzanne Collins, Gracen Miller, Sara Humphreys…and the list goes on.

Favorite TV guilty pleasure?

Game of Thrones!

Are you a dog person or a cat person?

Neither.

Chocolate or Vanilla ice cream?

It depends. If the ice cream is accompanied by something on the side, I prefer vanilla. If the ice cream is on its own, then I prefer chocolate.

Fruits or Veggies?

BOTH!

Coke or Pepsi?

Pepsi Max

Soda or Pop?

Isn’t it the same thing? Can’t we call it Soda Pop? Ok fine, I call it “soda” most of the time.

Sweet.

If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only have 3 things with you, what or who would they be?

Air conditioning, a life supply of food, a fully stocked bathroom with toiletries. :p

If you were stranded on a different planet, what planet would it be, what 3 things would you want with you and what 2 people would you hope got stranded with you?

I’d like to be stranded on a planet that’s in another galaxy, lights years away. With me, I’d want to take an intergalactic/universal iPhone, a piece of gum and some tin foil. Why? Because I watched a lot of MacGyver growing up, and I’m sure that if he could make bombs from gum, I can surely make a gadget that puts out a rescue signal with such a sophisticated iPhone. I hope that Superman and Bill Gates are stranded there with me. I’ll need Superman to keep me warm and Bill Gates to make sure I don’t blow myself up when I’m making the rescue signal gadget.

If you traveled to an alternate universe, whose universe would it be? What would you do there?

Heaven. I’d live there forever and ever and be happy.

If you traveled back in time, what time period would you want to visit most? Who would you hope to meet?

I’d love to go back to the 16^th century to meet Michaelangelo Buonarroti, Leonardo Da Vinci, William Shakespeare, Nostradamus, Galileo Galilei, Queen Elizabeth I, King Henry VIII, Juan Ponce de Leon, Vasco de Gama, Ferdiinand Magellan, Hernando de Soto, Francisco Vasquez de Coronado, Nicolaus Capernicus, Raphael, Christopher Columbus (Cristobal Colón).
